SELDI Forum in Brussels
Key results, findings and recommendations formulated during the two-year project within the SELDI network (Southeast Europe Leadership for Development and Integrity) were presented at the Policy forum, held on 24th and 25th of February 2015. The Forum “Good Governance Agenda for Southeast Europe: the Role of Civil Society” was attended by the representatives of the European Comission, European Parliament, civil society as well as the members of the coalition. On behalf of Institute Alternative, the Policy forum was attended by Dina Bajramspahić and Jovana Marović.
The project of SELDI network will continue in the next two-year period during which the 17 members of the coalition will continue to develop anti-corruption mechanisms in specific areas especially vulnerable to the corruption.

Ključni rezultati, nalazi i preporuke formulisani tokom dvogodišnjeg projekta u okviru SELDI mreže (Southeast Europe Leadership for Development and Integrity) predstavljeni su na policy forumu održanom u Briselu 24. i 25. februara 2015. godine. Forumu “Dobro upravljanje u Jugoistočnoj Evropi: uloga civilnog društva” prisustvovali su predstavnici Evropske komisije, Evropskog parlamenta, civilnog društva, kao i članice koalicije. U ime Instituta alternativa, u Briselu su bile Dina Bajramspahić i Jovana Marović.
Projekat SELDI mreže biće nastavljen i u narednom dvogodišnjem periodu u okviru kojeg će 17 članica koalicije nastaviti da razvija antikorupcijske mehanizme u specifičnim oblastima posebno rizičnim za korupciju.

Conference announcement: “How to improve the oversight function of the Parliament?”
Institute alternative, with the support of Think Tank Fund, is organizing the conference: “How to improve the oversight function of the Parliament?” in hotel Ramada, on Friday, 27 of February 2015. at 11 AM. At the conference will be discussed the question of usage of the control mechanisms available to MPs as well as obstacles for more active political control of the Governance’s work and the contribution of the Parliament to the negotiations with the EU.
The keynote speakers at the Conference will be Stevo Muk, President of the Managing Board of Institute alternative and Ranko Krivokapić, the President of the Parliament of Montenegro.
The speakers for the first panel “Towards a more effective use of the oversight mechanism of the Parliament” will be:
- Aleksandar Damjanović, the Chairman of the Committee on Economy, Finance and the Budget
- Marta Šćepanović, the MP from the Democratic Party of Socialists
- Rifat Rastoder, the Chairman of the Committee on Political System, Judiciary and Administration
The speakers for the second panel “The Parliament and fight against corruption/the negotiation process within the Chapter 23” will be:
- Predrag Bulatović, the Chairman of the Anti-corruption Committee
- Slaven Radunović, the Chairman of the Committee on the European integration
- Svetlana Rajković, from the Ministry of Justice and the negotiator for the Chapters 23 and 24
- Jovana Marović, the Research Coordinator in the Institute alternative

Najava konferencije: Kako do unaprijeđene kontrolne funkcije Skupštine?
Institut alternativa, u saradnji sa Fondacijom Institut za otvoreno društvo – Think Tank Fondom, organizuje konferenciju: “Kako do unaprijeđene kontrolne funkcije Skupštine?” u hotelu “Ramada” u petak, 27. februara 2015. godine sa početkom u 11h. Na konferenciji će biti riječi o korišćenju kontrolnih mehanizama koji stoje na raspolaganju poslanicima, kao i preprekama za aktivniju političku kontrolu rada Vlade i procesa pregovora od strane Skupštine.
Uvodničari na konferenciji će biti Stevo Muk, predsjednik Upravnog odbora Instituta alternativa i Ranko Krivokapić, predsjednik Skupštine Crne Gore.
Na prvom panelu “Ka efikasnijem korišćenju kontrolnih mehanizama Skupštine” govoriće:
- Aleksandar Damjanović, predsjednik Odbora za ekonomiju, finansije i budžet,
- Marta Šćepanović, poslanica i
- Rifat Rastoder, predsjednik Odbora za politički sistem, pravosuđe i upravu.
Govornici u okviru drugog panela “Skupština i borba protiv korupcije/proces pregovora u okviru poglavlja 23” će biti:
- Predrag Bulatović, predsjednik Odbora za antikorupciju,
- Slaven Radunović, predsjednik Odbora za evropske integracije,
- Svetlana Rajković, pregovaračica za poglavlja 23 i 24,
- Jovana Marović, koordinatorka istraživanja u Institutu alternativa.

Announcement of the Press Conference: Police Integrity in the Western Balkans
Regional network of civil society organizations POINTPULSE is organizing a panel “Police Integrity in the Western Balkans” that will be held on Friday, February 27th, at 10h in the Media Centre in Belgrade (Terazije 3).
These questions will be addressed at the event:
- How can civil society encourage accountability and integrity in policing?
- What are main problems in developing accountable police in the region?
- What are the main risks of corruption in the police?
- In which parts of the police there is most danger of corruption?
- What should be the priorities of the police reform process in the region?
Panelists will be as follow:
- Sasa Djordjevic, Researcher, Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP),
- Denis Hadzovic, Acting Director, Centre for Security Studies (CSS) from Sarajevo,
- Dina Bajramspahić, Public Policy Researcher, Institute Alternative (IA) from Podgorica,
- Plator Avdiu, Researcher, Kosovo Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) from Pristina.
Moderator will be Slobodan Georgiev, Programme Coordinator at the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) Serbia.
The discussion will be held in Serbian, Montenegrin, Bosnian and English language. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
