public call
for online training on Gender sensitive budgeting
Institute Alternative invites civil servants, decision-makers and representatives of civil society to apply for online training on gender sensitive budgeting.
We especially encourage to apply for the training: representatives of the Parliamentary Gender Equality Committee and Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget, representatives of Ministry of Finance (Budget Directorate and Directorate for Economic Policy and Development), as well as representatives of civil society organisations active in this field.
The purpose of the training is:
- Acquiring knowledge on gender responsive budgeting in the legal framework of Montenegro;
- Presentation of steps in gender responsive budgeting, as well as tools that participants will be able to apply in future work;
- Training for independent gender budget analysis, through interactive work and exercises on practical examples.
During the training, participants will have the opportunity to learn about key elements of gender sensitive budgeting such as gender analysis, gender-responsive goals, activities, indicators, as well as opportunities to include a gender perspective in the budget. The training will enable participants to acquire knowledge and skills for conducting gender analysis and designing measures that will contribute to gender equality and gender mainstreaming of existing programs.
Candidates who are interested can send their application to email: info@institut-alternativa.org, with subject ”Application for training course on Gender sensitive budgeting” by 20 October 2020, by 5 PM. On the results of your application we will inform you by 22 October.
Two-day training will be organised on 27 and 29 October, via Zoom platform, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The training will be led by expert Višnja Baćanović, and after the training all participants will receive a certificate of completion of the training.
The application must consist of short motivation letter, stating with why is gender sensitive budgeting important to you, and what public policies you deal within your business. With the motivation letter, a CV should also be submitted.
The training course is organised within the project ’’More Than Quotas: Gender Mainstreaming and Public Policies in Montenegro”, implemented by financial support of the Ministry for Human and Minority rights.
