Jelena Džankić holds a PhD at the Faculty of Politics, Psychology and Social Sciences (PPSIS) at the University of Cambridge, where she has completed her MPhil degree as an OSI/FCO/Chevening scholar. She is the Senior Research Associate of Institute Alternativa. Jelena is also a Teaching Fellow in Comparative Politics at University College London (UCL), and a Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh. At the American University in Bulgaria, where she graduated with honors in Political Science/International Relations and European Studies, Jelena developed a keen interest in the transition of SEE countries. Her other interests fall within the fields of democratization, Europeanization, politics of identity and SEE history. She has published several articles on the politics of the Balkans region and is active in NGOs in Montenegro.
